capital raising process assists innovative companies seeking to compliantly raise between
$250K and $5M in equity capital – this is facilitated via the ASSOB Primary Board. ASSOB is a

ASSOB delivers its services via a network of Accredited ASSOB Sponsor organisations. These
Accredited ASSOB Sponsors are usually professional advisors and business consultants that work with growing companies to help get them investor-ready and facilitate their listing
on the ASSOB Platform. ASSOB has also launched the ASSOB Secondary Sales System as
well as the ASSOB Compliance Listing Service, both of which are the first of their kind in the
unlisted securities sector in Australia.

Joe single-handedly increased the Accredited ASSOB Sponsor base to over 150
organisations nationally (an increase of over 400%) via a highly successful marketing, sales
and recruitment campaign. These ASSOB Sponsor organisations are often top-tier
professional advisory firms such as high-profile accounting, legal and corporate advisory
firms; and their individual ASSOB Capital Raising Consultants usually are at Director or
Partner level within these firms.
The profits directly generated by Joe proved instrumental in navigating ASSOB through
the Global Financial Crisis. In conjunction with these profits, the increased broker base also
paved the way forward for long-term business growth for ASSOB due to increased deal flow
of companies seeking capital.
Successful Capital Raisings
Joe played a critical role in coaching and providing business development systems &
support to all ASSOB Capital Raising Consultants nationally. This in turn resulted in almost
$60M of equity capital raised for over 120 high-growth innovative Australian companies
via private, high-net-worth and overseas investors. Notable capital raising successes
included Preshafood Ltd, Flextank International Ltd, Microskin Ltd, Cocoon Data Ltd, iPowow!
Ltd and many more.
Investor Database Growth
Joe oversaw the growth of the ASSOB subscriber database increase from 3,000 to over
20,000 investors including private investors, sophisticated investors, high-net-worth
individuals including BRW Rich 100 members, institutional investors and overseas investors.
Launch of Investor Pitch Events
Joe was a key member of the 3-person team responsible for the planning, launch, event
management and judging of the ASSOB ‘Pitch’ events nationally (entrepreneurs pitching to
investors for equity capital in order to fund the growth of their companies). This was highly
successful series of events and resulted in over 150 Australian companies applying to enter.
Sponsorship for these events was sourced via the respective state government innovation
Launch of Investor Magazine
Joe was a key member of the 4-person team responsible for managing the planning, launch,
editorial content creation and marketing of ‘Smart Capital’ (a premium-print investment
magazine published by ASSOB). In conjunction with this, all advertising space for the
inaugural edition was personally sold by Joe Olejnik in a 7-day period despite the fact the

Marketing & Communications Management
Joe was directly responsible for managing the development and implementation of all
ASSOB marketing communications and business development activities. This included:
- Managing the production of the ASSOB Investor e-News, which is sent to the ASSOB database of 20,000+ private and sophisticated investors monthly.
- Represent ASSOB in a business development capacity at various national events expos and trade-shows
- Secure press interviews and produce marketing-related NSX Company Announcements with the goal of ensuring ASSOB was recognised as a world-leader in the crowd-funding of innovative, high-growth companies.
- Sales Pipeline Management – Manage all capital raising, investor, broker and strategic partner enquiries.
